Who I Serve

Population

My practice serves individuals of all ages throughout the lifespan.  My offerings differ based on the expressed need as well as age of the individual.

Adults and Adolescents

For those who wish or need to explore and grow, understand why things are challenging for them in particular, heal from traumatic experiences or improve their ability to be in relationship with themselves and others.  My specialties include anxiety, PTSD (acute and complex), LGBTQIA+ identity and experience, grief and loss/life transitions.

Children and Families

For children under ten, I offer hybrid individual and family supportive therapy.  I value the attachment relationship very highly and so tailor the treatment to supporting that bond.  I have worked with many children and families and have experience with diagnosis, treatment and referrals to adjunct therapies.  My specialities include explosive behavior, ADHD, anxiety, depression and family stressors.  My treatment plan generally involves a mix of dyadic (parent-child) sessions, parenting support sessions and occasional individual sessions with the child.

Surprise

by Erin McCarthy
In the crack of a rooftop one finds a thick clump of moss.  How did this plant arrive here? On the wind or on someone’s shoe, through a bird’s digestion?  Where did it come from?  Has it existed here for a long time or did it just emerge when the frost lifted and the winter shifted into a tentative spring?
